Vijayawada: Former Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu has visited the flood-affected areas in the city. He interacted with the residents of Geetanagar and Ramalingeswar Nagar in the city limits. He inquired about flood relief operations. The TDP supremo said that the state government hatched a conspiracy to submerge his residence by not regulating the flood properly. As a result, thousands of houses were submerged with floodwater. He wondered as to why the government was worried about the flood threat to his residence. He said that the government failed to extend help to victims in the flood-affected areas. He took strong objection to the decision of the government to close Anna canteens. He said that the canteens would have provided food to flood victims. TDP MLAs and leaders were also present.
