MONTEBELLO – The Montebello Police Department recently went online with a new state-of-the-art computerized reporting system to direct more officers to the streets instead of taking down reports for certain crimes. People can report crimes using the Citizens Online Police Reporting System such as lost property, vehicle burglary, identity theft, harassing phone calls, theft, vandalism, hit and run and vehicle tampering from by accessing the city’s Web site. “This is cutting edge police work,” said Capt. (Agency Photos)The German Bundesliga will be decided on the last day of the season.This is after Bayern Munich failed to seal the title on Saturday while Borussia Dortmund registered a victory in their Match-Day 33 game.Bayern who would have won a 7th successive title with a victory over RB Leipzig could only manage a 0-0 draw at the Red Bull Arena in a closely contested encounter.Nico Kovac side thought they had won it towards the end but Leon Goretzka’s strike was ruled out for an offside during the buildup.Despite the draw, Bayern are still top of the standings with 75 points, two ahead of second placed Dortmund with just a game to play in the season.For Dortmund, they registered a hard fought 3-2 victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf on the same day.Dortmund took the lead four minutes to the break through Chelsea bound Christian Pulisic. Two minutes into the second half, Oliver Fink leveled matters with his third goal of the campaign.Two goals by Tomas Delaney and Mario Gotze ensured Dortmund take their lead to 3-1 but Dusseldorf struck again through Dawid Kownacki to set-up a tense finally.In the end, Dortmund held on to ensure they register a 22nd victory of the season, one that sees them move onto 73 points.With Leipzig already assured of third spot, the battle for the final Champions League qualification spot will go down to the wire.Borussia Monchengladbach (4th), Beyer Leverkusen (5th) and Eintracht Frankfurt will be the teams vying for that spot.In their weekend’s fixtures, Gladbach defeated Nuremburg 4-0 to move onto 55 points, Leverkusen (55) drew 1-1 at home to Schalke 04 while Frankfurt (54) lost 2-0 at home to Mainz on Sunday.In the race for Europa League football, both Wolfsburg (7th) and Hoffenheim (8th) lost their respective games this weekend.Wolfsburg lost 3-0 away to Stuttgart while Hoffenheim were defeated 1-0 at home to Werder Bremen.Elsewhere, only Hertha Berlin and Hannover 96 were the other winners on the Weekend. Berlin scrapped to a 4-3 come-back victory over Augsburg while Hannover easily defeated Freigburg 3-0.In the Spanish La Liga, Real Madrid was subjected to an 11th loss of the season as they were beaten 3-1 away to Real Sociedad.Real have now lost 11 games this season.Brahim Diaz gave Zinedin Zidane’s side the lead inside 6 minutes but Mikel Morino’s strike on 26 minutes ensured the first half ended all square.In the second, it was all Sociedad as they scored two more goals through Joseba Zuldua and Ander Barrenetxea to win the game. Earlier, Jesus Vallejo was sent off for Real Madrid who finished the game with 10 men.Despite the loss, Real remains in 3rd with 68 points. For Sociedad, they are now 8th having gathered 50 points so far.At the top of the table, Barcelona recovered from their humiliating exit from the Champions league at the hands of Liverpool as they defeated Getafe 2-0 at the Camp Nou.An Arturo Vidal strike and an own goal by Mauro Arambarri was all Ernesto Valvarde’s side required to seal their 26th win of the campaign and now move onto 86 points.Getafe who are now 5th, have 58 points, level with 4th placed Valencia who defeated Deportivo Alaves 3-1 on the same day thanks to Carlos Solar, Santi Mina and Kevin Gameiro’s goals.For second placed Atletico Madrid, they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Champions League chasing Sevilla. Koke put the hosts ahead on 30 minutes but Pablo Sarabia leveled matters with 20 minutes to ensure a stalemate.Atletico remain in second with 75 points while Sevilla are now 6th with 56 points.Elsewhere, Athletic Bilbao, Espanyol, Real Betis, Villarreal, Levante and Real Valladolid all resgistered victories in their respective fixtures. Bilbao beat Celta Vigo 3-1, Espanyol defeated Leganes 2-0, Betis overcame Huesca 2-1, Villarreal were 1-0 winners over Eibar, Levante over-powered Girona 2-1 while Valladolid ran out 2-1 victors away to Rayo Vallecano.In the Italian Serie A, Roma defeated Juventus 2-0 to brighten their chances of reaching next season’s champions league.Claudio Ranieri’s side had to wait until the 79th minute for the break-through coming off Alessandro Florenzi’s right boot. Edin Dzeko sealed the three points on 90 minutes to send Roma into 6th, one point behind 4th placed Inter Milan who take on Chievo on Monday night.Roma are 6th on the Serie A table.For Juventus, who have now suffered three defeats this season, they remain top of the standings with 89 points, 15 ahead of second placed Napoli.Napoli were also winners this past weekend as they a late Mario Rui goal to overcome a spirited SPAL side 2-1. Allan had earlier put Carlo Ancelotti’s side ahead on 49 minutes before Andrea Petagna equalized from the spot on 83 minutes.The victory sees Napoli move onto 76 points for the season while SPAL are now 11th with 42 points.In the race for Champions League football, all of Atalanta, AC Milan, Torino and Lazio were victorious this past weekend.Atalanta (3rd) defeated Genoa 2-1, AC (5th) were 1-0 winners at Fiorentina, Torino (7th) registered a 3-2 come-back victory over Sassuolo while Lazio (8th) took care of Cagliari 2-1.Elsewhere, only Udinese and Empoli were the other winners on the day. Udinese overcame Frosinone 3-1 away from home while Empoli edged closer to survival with a 2-1 win against Sampdoria.In the French Ligue One, Olympique Lyon moved a step closer to securing Champions League qualification thanks to a 3-0 win away to Marseille on Sunday night.Gnaly Cornet scored a brace while Moussa Dembele added the other as Lyon registered their 19th victory of the season to move onto 66 points while Marseille remain 6th with 55.Lyon now have 66 points for the season.For Fourth placed Saint Etienne, they lost 1-0 at home to fifth placed Montpellier. In a game that same both sides have a player sent off, Gaitan Laborde scored the winning goal on 64 minutes.The result means Etienne (4th) are now four points (62) behind Lyon (3rd) while Montpellier are also 4 points further adrift with just two games to play.The top two of PSG (1st) and Lille (2nd) also registered victories this past weekend.
