Mac Computers are Gorgeous

first_img24th June 2006 ,No doubt. Since they retain the hardware specs, and therefore, a lock on the hardware on which Jaguar will run, they’ve done a great job at making said hardware sleek, modern, and fancy. They’ve done a lot of work to make the computer look like a futuristic device. My Mac Book under load runs up to 95 degrees Celsius, or 203 degrees Fahrenheit. It isnt rocket science to understand that is extremely hot, easily hot enough toinflict a wound.Launching System Preferences, I immediately found that configuring the system was a breeze. The Mac jumped right online, and making the desktop look like Iwanted was more than intuitive. Setting up Mac Mail was also a breeze. Since my web mail account is POP3 enabled, I hopped on and pulled down my mail withouta hitch. EPL: Everton dare Champions City

first_imgRelatedPosts Fulham keen on Lookman loan deal Pirlo not out to copy anyone after Juventus’ comfortable opening win EPL: Newcastle set to extend winning streak Man City vs. Everton Venue: Etihad Stadium Kick off: 4PMEverton will be looking to continue their 100 per cent start under Carlo Ancelotti when they travel to champions Manchester City this afternoon. The Toffees have beaten Burnley and Newcastle United in their two matches since Ancelotti took control, while City will enter the clash off the back of a 2-0 win over Sheffield United. City were outstanding last term as they held off the threat of Liverpool to win the Premier League title in spectacular fashion. However, unless something quite staggering happens over the next few months, Pep Guardiola’s team will not be ending the 2019-20 campaign with the English title. The Citizens have lost five of their 20 league matches this season, recording just 13 wins to sit third in the table with 41 points. They are only a point off second-placed Leicester but sit 14 points off the leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand following their exertions at the Club World Cup. Liverpool’s form this term has been just staggering, winning 18 of their 19 league matches to top the table. Even if City had been at their best in recent months then it is difficult to imagine that they would have been even close to Jurgen Klopp’s team, who appear destined to win the Premier League. City suffered a 3-2 loss away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on December 27, with the latter coming from behind to triumph in front of their home supporters. Guardiola’s team had beaten Leicester on December 21 to keep their slight title hopes alive, but the defeat at Molineux would have hurt the team badly. The Citizens did return to winning ways against Sheffield United on Sunday, though, meaning that they have been victorious in five of their last six matches in all competitions. City have also lost just three of their last 32 home games in the Premier League, recording 27 wins in the process. What’s more, under Guardiola, they have won 52 of their 67 home games in England’s top flight. The Manchester giants have also been victorious in each of their last four Premier League matches with Everton, including a 3-1 success in the reverse game at Goodison Park back in September. The Toffees have only actually won one of the last nine matches between the two teams in all competitions, while they have not overcome City on their travels since December 2010, which is an indication of the size of the task facing Ancelotti’s side in their first match of 2020. Everton, though, will enter the match full of confidence following successive Premier League wins over Burnley and Newcastle in the two matches since Ancelotti replaced interim boss Duncan Ferguson as head coach. Ancelotti was in the stands for the goalless draw against Arsenal on December 21, which followed a 1-1 draw away to Manchester United in the middle of the month. For all of the criticism that has come the team’s way in recent weeks, they are unbeaten in their last five Premier League matches, picking up three wins in the process to move up the table. As it stands, the Merseyside giants are 10th in the table with 25 points having won seven, drawn four and lost nine of their 20 matches during the 2019-20 campaign. They are now seven points above the relegation zone and sit just six points off fifth position, which is an indication of the type of season it has been in England’s top flight. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored three times in his last two appearances for the Toffees, which led to the 22-year-old receiving high praise from Ancelotti. The Englishman is likely to keep his spot in attack for this match, and he certainly has the tools to cause City’s defence all sorts of problems. Luring Ancelotti to Goodison Park was huge for Everton, and a positive result on Wednesday would lead the team nicely into a run of winnable games; their next five after this one are against Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United, Newcastle United, Watford and Crystal Palace. Richarlison’s form under Ancelotti has also been impressive, and the Brazil international has now scored eight times in 24 appearances for the Toffees this season. Manchester United are thought to be interested in his services, but the new Everton manager will reportedly block any bid that might arrive. City are arguably as weak as they have been for a couple of years, and there is no doubt that the Merseyside giants will be confident of picking up a result under their new superstar manager. Man City possible XI: Ederson, Cancelo, Garcia, Fernandinho, Zinchenko, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Rodri, Bernardo, Aguero, Sterling. Everton possible XI: Pickford, Coleman, Mina, Holgate, Sidibe, Sigurdsson, Davies, Delph, Digne, Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison.Tags: Carlo AncelottiEvertonManchester CityNewcastle Unitedlast_img read more

Fresh-faced Germans made to sweat in 3-2 win over Australia

first_img(REUTERS) – Fresh-faced Germany were made to work harder than expected in their 3-2 victory over Australia in their Confederations Cup Group B debut yesterday with the world champions’ young squad still adjusting to tournament life. With half a dozen key players rested this summer ahead of next year’s World Cup title defence in Russia, Germany coach Joachim Loew brought a young team to Russia eager to prove itself ahead of next year’s World Cup.Loew’s men would have had a far easier afternoon on the Black Sea were it not for their wasted scoring chances.“In the first half we should have made more with our chances,” said captain Julian Draxler, who netted Germany’s second goal with a penalty.“In the second half we made it hard for ourselves. We kind of lost the plot a bit but the important thing is we won. We must improve (and) we will do that.”The Germans were in control from the start and outsprinted their opponents, with Lars Stindl converting a perfectly timed cutback from Julian Brandt to put them ahead in the fifth minute. They squandered a bagful of chances in a one-sided first half with Leon Goretzka, Sandro Wagner and Julian Brandt all coming close. They were punished when Tommy Rogic scored out of nowhere, his first off-target shot bouncing off a defender’s back and his rebound slipping in under keeper Bernd Leno.Their joy lasted only three minutes with the Germans earning a penalty in the 44th and Draxler putting them back in the driving seat.Goretzka grabbed another in the 48th but the Germans dropped the ball with Leno letting a shot slip out of his hands and Tomi Juric tapping in. Germany were left to rue their poor conversion rate as they also hit the post late in the game. The Germans next play Chile on Thursday while Australia face Cameroon.last_img read more

Sister of lady robbed of €1,250 in Christmas attack glad family’s ordeal is over

first_imgEXCLUSIVE: The sister of an 83 year old woman who was set upon by a 28 year old thug who snatched her purse containing €1,250 has said she is glad the family’s ordeal is over.Frail Bridget McElchar was left terrified when heartless Monika Rostas approached her on December 23rd last as she did her last minute Christmas shopping in Ballybofey.Rostas, 28, shoved a copy of the Big Issue magazine into the pensioner’s face as she was coming out of a local butcher shop and then snatched her purse out of her hand. Mrs McElchar managed to get the purse back but the money had vanished and, but for €150 which fell on the ground, was never recovered. The court heard the money was passed to another woman who has not yet appeared in court.Rostas, a mother-of-three, with an address in Ballybofey, appeared at Letterkenny District Court on Monday last charged with robbery.Judge Paul Kelly described her actions as “despicable” and sentenced her to four months in prison but suspended it for a year on her own cash bond of €500. He also ordered that €1,500 of €2,000 lodged in court by Rostas’ family be given in compensation to the family of the late Mrs McElchar who passed away just four months after the brutal incident. Now a sister of Mrs McElchar, Rose McCrory (Harper) said she was just delighted that the family’s ordeal was over.Speaking from her home in Castlefin, Mrs McCrory said “We didn’t even know the court case was going ahead but I’m happy that it has all been sorted out.“Bridget was never the same after that happened to her and it’s good to know that the Gardai did get the person that took Bridget’s purse even though they never got her money back.”When told that Judge Kelly had ordered that €1,500 be given to Bridget’s family, Ms Harper said “That’s good. The family got her a lovely headstone but we can get her a nice mass said now with some of this money.” She added that Bridget was more than likely shopping for her bits and pieces on the day that she was accosted by Rostas. She added that although she suffered from mixed health, she was a very independent lady.“I remember when it happened to her. She would have been doing her bits and pieces and popping in and out of the shops – that’s why she had the money in her purse.“Sometimes her health was good and sometimes it wasn’t great but she got out and about and was very independent. And she added “I’m not sure why she had all that money with her on the day. She could have been buying some presents as it was just Christmas and she was very good like that.“Bridget was a lovely person and it’s just so sad that something like this happened to her. It ruined her Christmas.”Sister of lady robbed of €1,250 in Christmas attack glad family’s ordeal is over was last modified: September 28th, 2016 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)last_img read more
