He also caught one pass for 38 yards.“I came out ready to play, feeling good and expecting to get a lot of carries,” Harris said. “We came through, kept with it, and it paid off in the end.”La Salle quarterback Jake Caan was 9 of 18 for 134 yards and was intercepted once.David Gladish completed 5 of 9 passes for 129 yards, including a 60-yard TD strike to Isaiah Veal for the Cardinals.“We played well, but we still have to get better,” Bishop Diego coach Tom Crawford said. “We were inconsistent, but stepped up to the physical play we know we have to when we play a quality team like La Salle.”Looking back on the ground war between Milliner and Harris, Crawford just smiled and said, “between both Harris and (Milliner), I don’t know how many missed tackles there were. The Ector County Independent School District Bond Advisory Committee will continue its discussion of a possible bond issue at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the George H.W. Bush New Tech Odessa cafeteria, 300 E. 29th St.The district has hired TranCend4, a company specializing in bond elections to help guide the community through the process, the supplemental material said. The cost is $26,000, plus expenses which include flights, car/Uber, hotel and meals.It is possible that a quorum of ECISD school board members could attend and participate in the discussion.The last meeting included a facilities tour.A tax ratification election also is being discussed.
