Taking care of sick and/or elderly people can be daunting and it should be the goal of society to establish a system that enables people to earn sufficient to take care of their parents / grandparents and those ill while at the same time providing adequately for their children. I often hear elderly people esp in developing countries complain as to how they are neglected by their children. Unfortunately, the children have to take care of their own family and their children leaving them with little choice but to ignore the well being of their elders. Sometimes the elders wish they had a way to end their lives!
