Miami Dolphins Project Change Scholarship

The Miami Dolphins recently announced the creation of the Project Change Scholarship, a program that will identify one high school student each year and pay for their tuition to college over a four-year period.To be launched on December 1, the goal of the scholarship is to target students to impact their lives, so they can make a change in their community.Requirements for the Project Change Scholarship include:Maintain a GPA of 3.0.Completion of at least 40 hours of community service a semester in social justice programs.Write an essay on what change they want to see in the community and how the scholarship will achieve that change.Acceptance into a community college or university.The Project Change Scholarship is a part of a yearly fund for advocacy and social justice programs created by Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and the Miami Dolphins players.Social justice initiativesDuring the 2017-18 season, the Miami Dolphins organization will create a social justice grant program, sponsor the Police Athletic League of North Miami and host a police and youth conference in conjunction with the 5000 Role Models Excellence Project.RISEThese initiatives will be in addition to the previous work the team is involved with through their collaboration with the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE).Founded and created by Ross in October 2015, RISE harnesses the unifying power of sports to improve race relations and drive social progress. first_imgA Broward woman is in the hospital this morning after being attacked by an animal while out for a morning walk in Lauderhill. #BREAKING – A husband and wife in Lauderhill have been transported to the hospital after they were attacked by an animal believed to be a bobcat.— WSVN 7 News (@wsvn) October 4, 2019 Fire rescue says the animal may have been a bobcat and the woman is being treated for serious injuries. first_imgSeveral Palm Beach County photographers are coming together for one day to offer those who are unemployed free headshots for their resumes, LinkedIn, and  other professional profiles.It is part of a national initiative to create the largest single-day photo shoot to help people get back on their feet.Lauren Lieberman who is the CEO of LILA PHOTO in Palm Beach released a statement saying hopefully the photos will give the job seeker more confidence :” Finding a job is hard work.
